This bag is absolutely perfect as the multi-day garment bag you need in a sleeper car for an Amtrak cross-country trip. This is NOT useful for a long trip. But if you have a suitcase with most of your luggage (including hard items like extra shoes) you can leave it downstairs in the sleeper luggage compartment and take just this small bag up to your room. When unfolded, it's small enough to fit in a tiny closet and holds enough for a train ride. It's uncomfortable to trip over a large suitcase on wheels in the sleeper. this bag is for that.
