A bit big for jackets and vests

Although this vest is nicely made I'm a bit disappointed with the size. I'm usually average in everything from shirts to dresses, sometimes tall, but average size seems too roomy and big for me. This is my first time buying leather and I feel like the sizing chart could be really helpful with what was an impulse purchase. usually a lot, but that's when you're a broke college student.
