Just something that needs to be done immediately. I abuse my watches and watch bands. For me, they are essential equipment and I need things that can withstand wear and tear. I basically wear my watch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it goes everywhere I go, in tight spaces, when working on projects, whatever. So, as they say, I wear a Maratac pilot's watch and I'm very thankful for its sapphire dome because if it weren't it would already be scratched to the point of being unusable. It holds up well to abuse, but my watch straps tend to suffer from it. I've played more bands than I can count in the last few years. I usually choose the silicone type because my straps get wet and dry quite often. However, with normal wear and tear, belts break after a relatively short time. The common cause of failure is the sling retainer, the part that secures the sling's landing gear after you buckle it. And no matter how stylish the tape or zip tie is, it just doesn't quite suit me. So I decided to try the nylon version and see what happens. So in terms of color and finish, this is a clean bracelet. The colors are worn as expected, the lines are straight and fine. It looks good. The band guard is actually locked, which I wasn't expecting, but I really appreciate it. I chose the black and gray option, I would have preferred black and red, but unfortunately there was no such choice. The buckle feels solid and I think it will hold up well. What worries me the most is the ear I use the most. It quickly shows signs of stretching. It's just a small expansion, I hope it stays at that level and I don't have to worry. But this is cause for concern. Odor was another big issue of mine as fabric bands tend to attract and hold odors, especially if they get wet frequently. This one seems to be holding up pretty well. If you don't stick your nose all the way in, you won't feel anything out of the ordinary. That.
