These tights are a bit thinner than I originally expected from dance tights. There does seem to be a bit of extra support in the toe area, but I expect them to wear out pretty quickly, especially if my daughter's toenails aren't perfectly clipped. A strong and comfortable elastic band at the waist provides support. A beautiful palette of 3 colors with a slight shimmer. They are more like silky smoothness (no glossy sheen). I would say they are more suitable for dressing than for sports like dancing.
