STOP LOOKING FOR CEILING LIGHTS!

I've only had these lamps for a few weeks so I can't say how long they will last. I had to wrap the control box in plastic and install it so I could use the remote control around the house. Anything exposed to the elements outside won't last as long as it does on a covered porch. I LOVE THESE LIGHTS. In fact, there are at least THREE different shades of blue, red, and green. Blues is my favorite. Some of the lighter colors are actually a mix of two colors, like orange has some yellow, lemon green has some orange, purple has some pink, but I like that. Features like FADE or CHASE are top notch - fading is mesmerizing, the way it just dissolves into another color, and chasing is when the strand is two lights, then one, then two different colors, then is a pretty cool one. FLASH will be a great opportunity for outdoor meetings. I've had deck lights for years and most have been fine. I bought a skein a few months ago which I had to return - it wasn't what I expected. The functions on this one were only LOUD and intermittent and the colors couldn't be changed either. The only downside to this set that doesn't really matter are the plastic clip screws that hold it in place - the smallest screws I've seen. I couldn't even hold them, let alone screw them into anything. BUT, because this cord is VERY HARD, I used what I usually use - a nail on either side of the rope, so I put it between two nails in about 8 or 10 places, which makes the light much better in place and position remains. than a plastic clip. However, since this thread is very stiff, you have to get creative when hanging it. They are in no way "draped" with semicircles or other more complicated shapes. I hung them in the shape of "Hodgepodge" as in the picture and I really like it. If you plan to stretch them in a straight line, that might work too. All I can say is that I hope these lamps will last at least a few years. I will definitely buy them again if they are still available.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • The list will be long.
