This is a beautiful medium sized vanity mirror with a heavy stand for stability. The stand's vertical shaft offers a fairly comfortable grip. The optical quality of the glass on both sides is good. The hinge has enough friction to hold the mirror head in any position you set it without being so stiff that it's difficult to turn. There is a sticker on the "8X" side of the mirror that will leave a little residue on the glass when you take it off, but a bit of Windex and a soft cloth will clean it without scratching the glass. If you don't need a mirror with built-in lighting or a larger diameter head, this is a good choice. A NOTICE. Due to the weight I wouldn't use it as a travel mirror if you have an airline baggage weight limit. There are lighter road mirrors that would be a better choice.
