These are pretty sturdy shelves and are easy to put together. As far as holding many items they will not. I purchased for my kitchen and majority of things will NOT fit on the bottom shelf making them relatively useless as not everything will fit on top shelf either. Wish that I had measured items I purchased before buying because it was a waste of my money and time.
