Reduces sun light and heat. Stretches which is good and bad. I used frames that were pretty flimsy and they twisted and bowed as I tightened the material. Also make sure of your measurements. Far harder than I remember regular screen replacement. Have sharp razor knife as the material is not real easy to cut.
