Obviously, at this price point, using "Cashmere" as a descriptor is meant to reflect a certain texture (like calling something "silky," when it is not made of actual silk), and not the actual fiber used. These shawls are 100% acrylic, and are labeled as such on the item, even though the listings mostly do not note fiber content. Don't buy if you think you're really getting cashmere, though I can't think why you would think that at the price listed.So, acrylic, and will pill. That said, I purchased two, and alternate them, and with regular use, the pilling has been minimal. The fit is as expected, the look is nice and what I was looking for, and since I don't expect them to last more than a season or so, they are meeting my expectations.
