I have used disc locks on several bikes in the past and really liked them for the security they gave me. In this case I used it to secure the U-Haul trailer. I hauled a closed 5' x 8' U-Haul from Florida to Texas. I planned to spend a night in a decent motel (Hampton Inn). I put a lock on the back door of the trailer and one on the security chains to keep the trailer from being separated from my truck. I understand that everything a person does; A person can break, so I knew locks couldn't protect against everything, but it gave me some peace of mind. I parked the truck and trailer in a very well lit lot. They did a really good job attaching the trailer and trailer to the truck. I would recommend these locks for any situation where you want to thwart a potential thief.
