I burned a Makita 9565PCV by sanding a thick applied "thin coat" with a Dewalt diamond cup to finish the wood floor in my kitchen. dear mistake Its my fault. I should have read the reviews. I squeezed the tool to speed up the work (I did) but the handle started to heat up. I should have stopped. Started smoking and barely started. I tried to disassemble it in hopes of replacing the fitting, but it had grown together. complete loss. I bought a Makita 9565CV to finish the job. I took my time and the handle never got hot. I used a Makita mask attached to my rigid shop vacuum to keep dust to a minimum. I like the Makita 9565CV better because it has a simple on/off switch. The Makita 9565PCV has a great shovel, but for long runs I prefer a simple on/off switch. Makitas are expensive but lightweight and powerful.
