I wore a similar hat that I bought at Walmart last year (men's department) but the brim is not as straight (more wavy) and falls off my head easily. This hat is about the same size but looks cuter and has a small elastic band that isn't too tight on my medium to large head but fits snugly so I don't have to hold it when the breeze blows. The edge is flat on all sides for better sun protection. I don't know how it will hold up in the wash as I sweat a lot from all the walks I take in our sunny southern weather but it's very affordable so I might buy a few more anticipating when I do eventually have to replace it. . There is also a ventilation grille. Can't tell if this helps as 95 degrees is pretty hot with or without the vent grille (it doesn't have freon), but the grille can't hurt. i will wear Push your finger through the ponytail hole on top of your head, then remove the hat to tie the ponytail at that point. Therefore it is not as flexible as a baseball cap so it is good to find the right position for the pony before putting the cap on to get the pony through.
