Review on Wago Push Wire Wall Nut Assortment: Efficient Solution for Industrial Electrical Needs by Cody Wuol

221 Better than 773 for stranded wires

I have a Wago 221 pocket set with lever nuts and a Wago 773 push wire wall nut. I couldn't use 773 with stranded wire. 773 uses the insertion force to clamp the wire. I cannot insert a strand into hole 773 because there is resistance and the strands are bent. If you insert stranded wire into a 773, you cannot remove it and reuse the 773. You must dump the 773. 221 has no resistance to insertion. The stranded wire is easy to insert and you close the clamp to clamp the wire.

Pros
  • Transparent case for visual inspection
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
