My cats tore off most of the jute from their two favorite scratching posts. I bought this jute rope because it was suitable for scratching posts. It turned out to be a bit thicker than the original rope on the bars, but it still worked great as a replacement. I'm also glad my cats started using the freshly repaired bars right away. Reusing a new rope was a lot cheaper than buying new poles!
