I ordered a size up to make sure they fit and have room to grow over the winter. Even with normal socks I couldn't put them on my 2 year old. I removed the lining to try on this piece and it was so tight around the ankle that I couldn't even get it fully on. The boot wasn't too small, just too tight and stiff to wear. I removed the insulation and just put the boot on and it was fine but there is velcro on the bottom of the boot so the lining was sticking too which bothered my son and then the rubber part of the boot was rubbing against his heels so he did. didn't walk at all, just cried and wanted to take over.
