Very nice lamps, exactly what I wanted, 2 for tables in the living room but difficult to assemble. If you don't have strength in your arms due to arthritis or aren't strong enough to use the base etc if I had ) the shade can't be put on without an angle. I carefully read the instructions, but somehow it happened. In this case, the instructions say to use a wrench to tighten the screw on the underside of the base. Well, it creates all sorts of problems. Also disassembling which I barely had time to put together (squeezing the piece together was very difficult) was difficult at first and the screw on the bottom didn't adjust. Everyone needs a specific key and stronger hands than me to handle it. I don't want to part with the lamps, but I need to enlist the help of a more able member of my family. Needless to say, should have done it in the first place.
