About five years later, our old Cuisinart microwave died. This corresponds to the average lifespan of microwave ovens in our household. Maybe bad luck, maybe it's the norm - it's definitely not abuse or abuse. And as is so often the case with electronics, the repair costs made up a significant part of the replacement costs. This is far better performance than expected and far better performance than I have seen in any of our previous microwave ovens. As for expected longevity, it's too early to tell, but I've noticed that there's a built-in number of times. It was used - useful in a commercial department where traffic flow etc needs to be analyzed. This counter goes up to a million. It has enough power for its size. The controls are easy to use and well thought out. It is programmed for complex use. Easy to clean.
