Review on πŸ’‘ Incandescent Replacement Christmas Light Bulbs by Justin Anderson

LUCKY or FAILURE is good for lightbulbs

I have accumulated many strings of lightbulbs over the years and these bulbs work well with some but barely light with other strings with the same number of bulbs , and I can't say why. Another thing I've noticed is that the wire leads are a bit shorter than others I have and the base of the lamp is full and not flattened like some of the lamps I'm trying to replace. Look at the photo: on the left is a new bulb and on the right is an old bulb with a flat end. This combined with the shorter wires makes them unusable (they don't go through the base with enough wire to bend back) without modifying the lamp base, which is a delicate and time-consuming process. Before you buy them, take out one of your bulbs and look inside the base. If the hole that the bulb sits in is round, then everything is fine. If it is rectangular, you will encounter the problem described above. I was able to drill through the sockets to allow the lamp to fit all the way in, but as I mentioned it's a bit tricky to drill through the plastic, you only need about 1/8 inch deep and the drill bit tends to snag. , Use pliers to hold the base and lightly. Good luck with these, some of them worked fine.
