I looked around and measured a lot before deciding to buy. I was looking for something to put my 13 gallon trash bags in instead of leaving them in a box. Also, my boys like to toss in the last garbage bag and then tell me we're out. With them, I can now see when we're running low. I usually buy a large box that comes with 2 large bag rolls and it was so hard to find something like this that fits the width of the rolls and still has an opening big enough for the bags to go through, without getting tangled. Just one roll, brand new out of the box, measures approximately 5" wide by 8 1/2" tall. As you can see from the picture they are big enough that I could even fit both rolls in one. Most of the ones I saw just weren't wide enough. Most were just for storing used shopping bags and they didn't fit me. They make a fairly stable impression and are easy to assemble. I won't be using double sided tape because I don't think it will hold the weight if I have 2 full rolls in one. They also have screw holes on the back so you can hang them with screws, tape, or both. I told myself if it didn't work for what I needed I would have to put another project on my husband's to do list and it would probably be a few years before I got it lol. Now I don't have to worry because I hit the jackpot with it. I just hope it lasts my boys.
