Review on 💼 Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad 5: Sleek and Stylish Carbon Black Edition by Luis Adu

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love this keyboard despite some major flaws!

I have several other iPad Air cases that I love and have kept for specific uses or special occasions. Love them, it's the super slim ZAGGkeys Hinged keyboard and the NewTrent Airbender "Air" (not 2.0). These keyboards are comfortable to type on and you don't have to learn the new key layout, which takes up a lot of space in my book. Both work great with the auto sleep/wake feature, which most keyboards can't handle (including the NewTrent Airbender 2.0). I think that is also an important factor. This keyboard cover looks very elegant, feels soft and is just very, very well designed. My biggest gripe with this keyboard is that the number keys are so crammed in that when you try to hit the "1" you naturally hit the home button instead and exit the app you're using and navigate to the menu screen. If you want to press '2', press '1' instead, and so on, because all the number keys are shifted 1 space to make room for that useless home button. The /wake function is ALWAYS triggered when this case is opened or closed. BUT I noticed very often when I had this case closed that the iPad almost always woke up without opening the case, only being handled in the closed state. You must be very aware of this unwanted feature so that you don't accidentally drain your battery even if you are not using an iPad. This is a big complaint for me, as is an unfamiliar keyboard layout. The good things about this case, which for me make it one of the most popular cases I've ever tried (and I've tried at least 15-20) is the fact that 1. It's so thin and light, you won't even know it's a keyboard case.2. It feels velvety and soft and even looks like a good leather bag, very stylish and elegant.3. It has amazing magnets so it won't slosh and fall on you like other similar keyboard cases when snapped vertically. You can even pick it up with your iPad while it's upright and it won't even open from its correct position! 4. The keyboard is very spacious. They've squashed the number keys, which I don't like, but they're best for regular typing because they've removed the space that the CapsLock and Tab keys normally take up and made all the other keys more spacious and feel more natural. Huge compromise IMO.5. Excellent connectivity, you don't have to wait long before you start typing to activate the keyboard. It just works. I could probably go on for a long time about the great feel and amazing benefits of this keyboard. I'm amazed at how satisfied I am with her, despite the very high demands on her. In my opinion this keyboard case is worth even the high price you pay for it as it is so advanced compared to other keyboard cases even if you consider the cons. I love that I can take it to church or other formal events without looking like a geek who brought his own toys to play with! Great job Logitech! You can definitely trust the name and in my opinion this amazing keyboard lives up to its name and price! You have to do it for your own sake, to at least try!
