I have my own aquarium from 64 gallon to literally a quarter gallon plastic tank. The portion of this tank's filtration system that takes up literally a quarter of the total tank volume is more than enough to filter out impurities from the water and allow you to relax and enjoy the aquarium for as long as there is no need for a weekly water change you just put a betta in it If you use this tank for keeping micro shrimp, you don't need to change the water at all, just refill the evaporated water from the tank from time to time. One caveat: the light tends to warm up and raise the water temperature, which is a big plus in the cold season. In the hot summer, I turned off the light on hot summer nights or hot days. I highly recommend this little compact tank. As this is an acrylic tank, please do not use harsh detergent to clean the inside or outside of the tank surface. He'll fucking scratch that nice tank out. Use a soft cloth or an acrylic sponge, which you can buy cheaply at petco. The scrubber is usually white. Blue scrubbers are for glass surfaces only and will definitely scratch this reservoir. Enjoy.
