Review on Mattress Shipping Returns Compresses Leakproof by Diane Jenkins

Have tape or patches ready!

Great idea, bad quality. I thought it would be a great way to get the spare mattress we use for guests out of the way and save space. Starts well and works as it should. I put the mattress in a bag, vacuumed it, rolled it up and tied it with string (even taking the extra precaution of putting rags between the bag and the strings) and I had to move it across the floor because she is HEAVY. As soon as I put the cap on the valve I heard a leak. There was a small hole where the valve meets the plastic. Scotch. After taking care of it, I put it in the closet where I want to keep it. Remember I've only moved it 6 or 8 feet on a clean carpet with no obstacles and nothing sticking out for it to grab onto. I threw it in the also carpeted closet and immediately started inflating. I had an incredible amount of time to get it out of the closet, puffed up as it was, luckily it was still tied up, otherwise this mattress would have stayed in this closet forever. So I retrieve it, untie it and put it down. Tried vacuuming to listen for leaks but nothing happened. I finally find a huge crack, big enough for my hand to fit through. Scotch. Repeat the process, still nothing. Huge tear #2. Duct tape. Eventually everything dried up, curled up, tied up, formed. Almost 3 hours wasted for what should have taken 15-20 minutes. I will say if you must have one of these packs, just have plenty of good strong duct tape handy and a storage box or container big enough to hold it. Because if you look at plastic the wrong way, it tears. I gave two stars instead of one because I got it to work in the end. If it wasn't so cheaply made it would have gotten a 5. The only reason I just didn't send it back is because it was literally the only vacuum bag I could find big enough to fit a California King mattress.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Bad instructions
