My 18 month old speed demon insists on running full speed and headfirst across a hard wooden floor. I swear this guy doesn't run, he flies everywhere like he's being chased by hellhounds. I've healed more goosebumps, puffy lips, and broken knees than I can imagine. I tried on slippers (he runs them out right away), shoes (he just takes them off), slippers (FAIL), new wood floor cleaner (no difference in slipperiness) and yelled like crazy for him to stop running. (He pretends he doesn't even hear me). Then I found this one. I put them on him first thing in the morning and fasten them with Velcro as far as is comfortable.
