Review on Mehron Makeup Liquid Latex (4.5 oz) (Light Flesh) - The Perfect Solution for Durable Special Effects and Skin-like Textures by Denise Miller

Easy to use even for SPFX makeup beginners. I bought this to give a special look to a costume I was making, but I've used it many times to practice all the different effects you can create with latex. It has an odor, like all latex, but it's not unbearable. The color is a bit dark to me, but most people aren't as light as I am, so I think this color is probably close to a "flesh" color for many people. I would have gone for a lighter shade, but the same size bottle in this beige was a whopping $12 cheaper than the white one, and since I cover everything with makeup anyway, I didn't feel like the extra cost of one bottle have worth . closer game. The consistency is fantastic! It stays liquid long enough to be manipulated where you need it, but dries quickly enough that it doesn't take you all day to achieve a few basic effects. And it doesn't fall off in the middle of the day like some other brands I've tried. I've even reused jigs I made with it with great success. This brand is expensive but you absolutely get what you pay for when it comes to SPFX makeup. I've used cheap stuff before with pretty disastrous results. It made such a big difference! I used to think I was just bad with makeup. But after just 1 year of practice with the "good stuff," I'm MUCH further than all the years of dabbling in random cheap Walmart junk. Good consumables really make the difference. This thing is worth every penny! I will never buy generic crap again.
