Review on HyperX Official Compatible Detachable Noise Cancelling by Jerimiah Augustine

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Disappointing at $70 but not useless

I have tested this product on both Xbox and PC for the past four weeks. Overall I'd say for the price I paid it doesn't meet my needs compared to other headsets I've tried in the past. nice for me! However, the cups and the tension on the headset create a pressure point. If, like me, you sometimes wear a cup halfway in one ear to hear the audio coming out of the speakers, this headset becomes too painful to wear after about 30 minutes of play. If you find yourself carrying your mug halfway sometimes, don't do it. buy this headset. AUDIO - 2/5 When you put on the headset, you will hear an echo like a shell under your ear. It's a cool effect when you're at the beach, but distracting when you're wearing headphones. I don't really hear any bass or significant differences in bass, mid and treble levels - the sound seems pretty flat. NOISE CANCELING - 1/5 Headphones are not noise canceling as expected. The noise cancellation comes from the shell effect, not the fact that Bose headphones offer active noise cancellation. Honestly, at $70, I wasn't expecting active noise cancellation, but I didn't want to hear the shell effect either. I would have preferred no noise cancellation. MIC QUALITY - 3/5 people on PC said my mic is of very poor quality. Xbox users have left no feedback. I'm leaving it at 3 because while trying to play around with the settings to improve the mic I couldn't get the mic to work well on PC and it could still be fine tuning. OVERALL RATING d give 1/5 for PC: The cable is too short and there are better headsets for PC users. I'd give it a 3/5 for console gamers: it's not a bad headset, but it gets uncomfortable and the sound quality is unsatisfactory for me. good, but definitely not for $70
