Review on ๐Ÿถ Enhanced Pet Playpen: ESK Collection 48" Exercise Pen Kennel with 600D Oxford Cloth for Active Dogs by Jaime Pulley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Completely satisfied: Status 7/2017

I received it yesterday. I read many reviews before deciding on this one. I give five stars because it does what I need. I think you should keep in mind that this is essentially a soft playpen. If your dog likes to chew and you plan on leaving him unattended for a long time, you will likely be dissatisfied with this product. However, common sense dictates that you would never put a human child in a playpen and leave them unattended, so why would you do the same with a dog? time and will chew something. I don't want to keep her in her smaller sleeping cage all the time, but I can't justify leaving her unattended to chew either. We tried a big wire cage but she got her mouth stuck in it, bit her and I was afraid she would hurt herself. This stuff works for me. It's the perfect size for her and it's lightweight. Wherever I am in the house or in the yard, I can easily wear it for her to see me. She is also a jumper, but the grip is strong enough to support her weight. I haven't buttoned the bodice yet, but the sides are high enough that she wouldn't be able to pop out without them. I sprinkled them with Bitter No Chew (every pet store has similar products) to reduce chewing and put toys inside to keep them entertained. Since I keep an eye on her, I can also discourage her if she tries to chew. I like that it folds flat making it easy to store or pack for travel. I contacted the seller (Sunday) to make sure the bottom was waterproof and the seller replied the same day that it was waterproof. I think the zip might be leaking but if that's a problem you can put training pads underneath. Since we are still at the beginning of learning, I wanted a removable bottom that can be washed if necessary. I'm not a customer worried about a dog gnawing on it. The price is so high that I don't feel very upset if she chews it. I'd rather let them chew on it than on my furniture or closets. She will be watched while in it and will not be hurt like in a cage. UPDATE: My review from a year ago is still standing. That was redemption. I ended up having to wear a zip top to keep her from popping out and it worked great. I ended up putting a small tarp underneath to keep the bottom zip from leaking, although the training pads worked just as well. He survived a very hyperactive puppy and although she no longer needs the playpen as she has become soft he is still in great shape. Nevertheless 5 stars.
