Yes! They'll love that you don't always have to open the door for the cat!

It took my 18 year old cat a few days to get used to the idea that I was no longer serving her whim. BUT after pushing them through a few times, she noticed that she was now pressing her paw against the door and her nose was following her in or out of the house. THIS IS THE PERFECT SIZE! I live in Alaska in an area with high wind loads and this is causing a pressure drop on my sunny porch. I kept putting off putting a cat door on this sunny porch (where the cat can climb out on her own through another hole under the porch) because I thought it might let in too much wind. NO! This brand works great and the Lexan clear door stays shut even when it blows through 75+. I should have bought it 17 years ago! Of course, the neighbor's cat climbed into the house several times, but a lot of loud noise from my cat and a lot of loud noise from me - moreover, the splashing of water in his face stopped pretty quickly. And yes - if you are discussing the merits of a door for a. Cat ?!? There are no more debates. Decide. Be brave. and also. Try it. Install on the side of the house where there is least wind and rain, or on a covered porch, or install a small box above if needed. The worst thing you can do is make a small hole in your door (or wall) that you can always cover up with something interesting. Take heart!
