This light looks great when installed. However, it requires some assembly. Several parts of the lamp need to be fixed with screws. It definitely increased the installation time. But aside from mounting the lamp, installing the bracket and wall mount was very easy. Bulb covers are made of glass. So we handle them very carefully. Also, be careful when screwing in the plastic nut that holds the light. If overtightened, the glass may break. We bought some retro Edison style bulbs to complete the look of this fixture. Looks great on a girls dressing table. It was definitely an upgrade from the traditional lamp that this lamp replaced. As I said, it looks beautiful, and in what is definitely an update. If you feel very comfortable, then I recommend this lamp. From start to finish I assembled and installed it in 15 minutes.
