Review on Eddie Bauer Stretch Khaki AHHA Boys' Pants: Comfortable and Durable Clothing by Justin Early

I'm glad I only have one pair

First of all I want to sympathize with those who buy these pants, you probably have a riotous 7/8 year old too Boy who also regularly wears his school uniform pants. At first glance I thought they had a lot of potential, the material seems more durable than other brands of school pants I've bought in the past. My son even commented on how smart they looked, I think he loved the back pockets. but: size 7 is probably closer to size 8, at least in the waist. Even after we tightened the inner elastics to the hilt, my son still complained that the pants were too loose. (I have another brand that fits a size 8 just fine, although they're a little long.) - There are two external straps ("adjustable pulls") that are used to tighten the pants around the waist. Of course, they were less than useless to my son, who is a solid size 7 on at least two other brands. They don't tighten strongly at all, and even when tightened, they don't hold the tension and immediately loosen. Basically they will get in the way of the belt and I will probably cut them off if we use one. If they could hold tension I might see them in place of a belt, but they're useless as is. Conclusion: These pants might come in handy when I find his belt, but the sizing seems closer to "Hefty" (length is ok, waist is too big) with very little adjustment. My son is about 4 feet 4 inches and 54 pounds.

  • Fits snugly in the saddle and hips with a classic straight leg
