Great for making the straps super soft and flexible. It also helps the putty to adhere to the holding area. I've found other uses for skin balm, like applying very small amounts to holsters, inside and out, at regular intervals. I also tried it in the places of my work shoes that just don't want to run in. I have to kneel a lot at work and the leather top of my boots sometimes tears, and that helped. Basically you can probably use it on any kind of leather except baby wraps, just experiment with it a bit. I can definitely recommend this and will buy it again.
