I worked according to the instructions.

One of the cables that came with my cameras was somehow cut so I bought it as a spare. It's not white and easy to hide like the original cables that came with my system, but gray doesn't really bother me. It's also thicker and appears to be of higher quality than the one on my system. A bonus was that it came with a new connector gasket, which was nice as I lost the old one when installing my system and had to improvise a gasket (pure RTV).
