Glow in the dark wasn't the reason I bought this item; I did this because it costs less than other similar products. If you have an Apple Pencil, you'll need one of these because the stylus consists of three parts: the stylus itself and, for the most part, a small domed cover to protect the contacts at the end of the pen connector (for charging and BlueTooth connectivity) . to iPad) and adapter to connect the power cable from the Apple Pencil to the Apple cable. You don't want to lose these two little ones, so keep them with your pen. The product image shows the cap connector holder on the pen and the adapter holder on the Apple cable. I recommend putting both on a pencil because if you have a lot of cables it's easier to get one WITHOUT an adapter than the right one.
