IR illuminator severely limits the visibility of reflected light

Unfortunately, the IR lighting cannot be controlled manually and turns on automatically. The image appears very clear, but the IR illumination does not reflect particles in the water well, limiting visibility to a few centimeters. It will likely need crystal clear water to make this usable. Otherwise it makes a very well built impression.

Nice big screen. Worked well. Used on lake Winnipeg.

Works good in low light conditions. Very hard to see in bright sun.

Would work well for ice fishing. Very hard to keep still from a boat.
