Review on πŸ’‘ Super Bright AUTOGINE 10pcs Error Free LED Bulbs: Xenon White 3030 Chipset for Car Interior Dome Map Door Courtesy Trunk License Plate Lights by Tim Beardsley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Pretty good setup, but certainly nowhere near 200 lumens

I bought an Autogine LED 194 (white) to replace my 2019 Civic Sport. The cabin of this car is lit by a 194 dome light, but I wanted something brighter. This product had good reviews, claimed 200 lumens and was cheap so I bought it. I installed two bulbs in my Civic: one for the interior light and one for the driver's side map light. I left the original 194 bulb in the passenger side map light so I can compare them side by side. Verdict? The bulb 194 is rated at 25 lumens. Autogine claims an output of 200 lumens, or 8x an incandescent's 194. Light output isn't a measure of intensity, but at 8x lumens I expect a significant increase in intensity. It just doesn't exist. They are brighter but not by much and not enough to make me happy with these bulbs. High lumens are common in the lighting industry. I've had many friends with inexpensive flashlights advertised as 1000 lumens. When compared to a flashlight that actually has 1000 lumens, it becomes clear that cheap bulbs fall far short of the advertised performance. These bulbs are good for replacing license plate or side marker lights, but if you want brighter interior lighting I recommend something else.
