This thing seems pretty useful in concept, but it's really not necessary. Either way, you should drink your beer until it gets cold. You don't need anything to keep it cooler longer. These things are huge and heavy and I don't see how you can't feel stupid using them. It's useless even as a gift. Give your loved ones something better.
