An excellent scarf with an unusual texture and an interesting color combination. I ordered the blue/grey version which is a large plaid version. The scarf is mostly colored in light and dark shades of grey-black as well as accented with a soft shade of blue that really stands out against the darker colours. The shawl is woven in such a way that the color of the block or stripe on one side is reversed on the other. In this way, the light gray on the opposite side becomes a mottled gray and the black becomes a slightly darker mottled grey. The blue turns into a really nice mottled blue. This gives the scarf a completely different look on each side and makes the design even more intricate and interesting when both sides are shown. The sides and ends of the scarf are even, with a neat hem finish (this scarf does not have short fringes, contrary to the product description). The texture and look of the scarf is completely different than most of my other scarves. Instead of airy, fluffy or fluffy appearance, it is smooth and quite dense. This is a very fine fabric, it has a flowing look and drapes beautifully. The scarf is medium weight and quite thin but soft and warm. It seems to be a standard size for this type of scarf (about 1 foot wide and just under 6 feet long), so wrapping it around my neck once or twice and letting the ends hang down is sufficient, or it can be tied otherwise will . The scarf arrived well pressed and folded; it was enclosed in a fold of paper sealed with the brand's logo and hidden in a nice gray box suitable for a gift. The scarf is untagged but the tags inside the box indicate that it is made from 100% Australian Merino wool. The current price of $22.99 is more than reasonable for this unique and well-designed scarf. It looks much more expensive than its price and can be a great gift.
