This device is great for going from component to HDMI straight to the TV. If you want to use it for that, I would recommend it and launch it two to five times. But if, like me, you're looking to capture/stream videos from older consoles like PS2 with the Elgato HD 60, then you're out of luck. if you don't want to record video. When I plugged this into my Elgato HD 60 the sound sounds awful, I have no idea why but it is. I've tried everything and can't help but make it sound awful. Like I said, it looks great and sounds great when I plug it directly into my TV. But that's not what I bought it for, so I'll have to look elsewhere and hope I can find a compatible one.
