Fragile and very labor intensive letter separation. Small plastic plugs on the sides need to be partially cut with scissors. The tabs on the back, which are inserted into the felt board, break easily, rendering the letter unusable. The board is much smaller than it appears in the photos, so pay attention to the dimensions. Also, there are protrusions on the board where the protrusions are inserted with letters: the protrusions only happen in portrait mode. This means you cannot rotate the board to use landscape orientation. It's very thin. I'd be embarrassed gifting this to anyone other than a high school student who doesn't care about quality or ease of use.
