I have taken courses in interior design, fine art painting and stencilling. These stencils are well made of thicker plastic than cheap stencils. It is important to have thicker plastic stencils as thinner ones can be brittle and your work will often be fuzzy due to the fine lines required in many of your projects. Fix the stencil, pour in the paints, press on some paint, shake off the excess and tap the paint lightly into the stencil. Take your time and go easy. No problem going too easy or going overboard; If it's too light, add a little and take your time, and mistakes will easily wash off the stencil. Well made stencil, you don't need to buy more than one of each style or shape. Dry with a cloth and you can start another. Try on a piece of cardboard and enjoy an inexpensive technique that only seems complicated. Have fun!
