I bought this coat for my 50 lb savior. She has a slim body, so it's a bit loose at the bottom, but other than that, it fits her perfectly! Considering the cold weather we had this is a really nice coat for her with her hair so short it keeps her body warm. The hood comes off, but I didn't have to. It's not like this. There is also a spot where you can stretch the seat belt loop. It's a bit tight so the whole metal loop doesn't go through it, but as long as the leash fits I'm not worried. The stitching is obviously heavy as the hole for the eyelet has not yet ripped although it is too small. I am very happy with this coat, it is so soft on the inside.
