This is the first cooler I have bought that is not just a factory replacement so I didn't know much about it when I checked have I bought. I bought it because my big block machine had some cooling issues (which I thought was the fan and a faulty thermostat, not the heatsink) but when I saw it I wanted it. It's larger than the one in my car and has built-in/attached fan shrouds, which I think is a huge bonus for directing airflow. This is an all aluminum welded construction, no cheap plastic tanks glued to a scrap core. The block looks well put together, no leaks from me. Only minor modifications to my factory mounting hardware were required. The bottom of the heatsink sits perfectly on the standard heatsink rubber tabs and the top almost fits, but one of the tabs that secures the cover on top doesn't allow my top to attach, but it's just a matter of a small notch and it will be like rain.
