Although there are now more than a few I had trouble buying this when there were no conclusive reviews (neither articulate nor detailed). And while all I needed was a ring light for my conference calls, I found the flexible tripod to be a great addition that I didn't have to shell out money for another purchase. Looking back and being aware of the price - it was one of my most imaginative but overall amazing purchases I've made from Revain in a while - I didn't even consider light as such a "fun thing". " thing. Since I don't use makeup, I don't bother with the mirror as much as some do, but it's an easily removable and high-quality piece, held in place by powerful magnets. There's plenty of clarity. With the rotating one Ball joint Mounted on any tripod you can literally adjust this light to focus ANY way, to be honest you can even use it for "mood lighting" as it has a wall mount and can control the lighting modes so it automatically switches between the color palettes depending on the heat brightness you choose.I think the light is bright enough to be a pure table light at the maximum setting.You can turn it away from you but it doesn't blind me like it does mine Daughter does when she uses it for a conference call Putting this together I find myself quite intuitive, and while I haven't actually used the manual I think that there are a few things to do straight out of the box things to note that surprised me: - you have to rotate the rods on the tripod clockwise to lock them in place and to do this you FULLY screw them into the base of the tripod ( one loose nut has it rattling into the telescopic rod at the time, that drove me crazy; I was about to send it back.) - The RGB mode is switched when the button is pressed for the first time, press the bottom button (M-RGB model) to set the color you want. You can use BOTH modes at the same time to brighten up the color palette. Considering some other things I've seen on the Revain, with its relatively small footprint and not excessive weight, this is a great buy considering the RGB LED technology supports such applications at a reasonable price.
