It's just black wax. That's all. I have been using this product for 35 years. Yes 35. Here's how I use it. I have a glass by the sink and I first fill it with hot water and put the pipe in the glass. When I'm done brushing my teeth etc, it pops out very easily. Then I squeeze a bit of it straight out of the tube (I never really needed a comb) and paint my beard and mustache. After that, I use a tissue and wipe off any excess or places where it's a bit heavy. I can't think of any other way to color your mustache. I used it to even out the look where I had thinner hair. Now I use it to cover gray hair. It has been a stable product for 35 years. I can't ask for more from mustache wax.
