When I installed a 32" monitor (Benq EW3280U, only 18 pounds) on the monitor stand, its mount flipped over so the monitor was facing me was desk. This caused the entire assembly to move forward. Luckily I got hold of the monitor before any real damage was done. The other VESA mount looked a bit sturdier, so maybe I had a broken unit, but I couldn't tighten the connection enough for the tilt mechanism to support the weight of the monitor. I haven't installed a second monitor yet, but the hinge that holds the crossbar (which is only held in place by friction) already had problems with one of my monitors and started to slip. This might be fine for some smaller screens, but you should buy something MUCH more durable if you plan to install 32-inch monitors.
