ideal for transporting a nervous cat

We have 2 cats: an 8 year old female Maine Coon (approx 10 lbs) and a 6 year old male Snowshoe (approx 6 lbs). Both hate traveling and are crazy about being porters. They scream and smack the wearer's sides all the way! It was such a horrible experience that the next time one of them was supposed to go to the vet, a mobile vet came to the house instead. When the vet came to take her to his mobile office he had one of those bags, our Maine Coon walked in easily and didn't struggle at all. We just bought a new house and knew we would need to transport cats when we move so I bought 2 of these. I got the large because I figured that while none of my cats really need that size, it would be a bit easier to fit them in if there was more room. And since the head hole can be adjusted to fit the neck, that would be the best option. We were able to put them in the bags with no problem, even though they were nervous because the movers were in the house all day. After we put both cats in sacks, my husband carried them to the car and put them on my lap. They seemed pretty comfortable in the bags and of course they were fine until the car pulled away but I was able to pet them and talk to them so they calmed down. They started struggling a bit when we were stuck in traffic and the smaller cat managed to get her paw through the hole in his knee, but he couldn't escape. In the end, they settled down to a small meow. And we moved them to a new home pretty easily. The child peed in the bag, but it did not leak. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to transport a cat. I recommend getting the right size for your cat as this will improve knee adjustment and prevent them from putting their paw through. But I think the fact that they're wrapped in a bag and their head and face are completely free doesn't bother them as much as if they were completely enclosed in a stretcher.
