FIRST IMPRESSIONS (please read edit and conclusion) I bought this because I was learning about safety razors and wanted to try it without shelling $40 off. I thought it was very cheap plastic but it's full of weighted steel and quality. This gave me the smoothest shave I've had in probably 3 years without a razor. I could only use electric because a razor would burn my throat terribly if I used anything else, so this is a big game changer. I'll say I cut myself a few times, but if you stick to short strokes it's easy to avoid, and the cuts didn't bother me at all after I washed off the shaving cream. I was going to invest in a better one if I was going to shave well with this one (and maybe I still will) but I don't know what else I'm getting for buying the more expensive one other than maybe a cooler grip. .EDITAfter using this razor for 3 days and twice I was VERY impressed, that is until I knocked it off my toothbrush holder where it fell less than half a foot and unscrewed the head in the handle rendering the product fully rendered became useless. . What I thought was carbide was actually weighted plastic or some cheaper brittle material. at the price you can't fret. CONCLUSION I would still recommend this product to those wanting to see if a safety razor is right for them, but if you already know you like it, skip this one and buy a better quality one
