Exactly what I wanted
I tried four different ironing board covers before I found this one and this is exactly what I wanted: a lightweight fabric cover with a drawstring, a pointed end that rests on the ironing board fits . I don't know if it will be durable, but at least it's not soft. I have two previous ironing board covers under this one so there is a lot of padding in there. Also, it was easy to put on. I've only been using it for two days so I can't comment on durability.
