Review on Graco TrueCoat 360 Blue/White Paint Sprayer by William Hood

Expected a little more from Graco

I bought this to paint my fence which is about 190 linear feet and 6 feet high. I tried everything with water just make sure I know the working principle, spray pattern etc before starting the project and everything seemed fine. The day before I was due to start my fence project, I decided to try it on a spot that the owner wanted to paint warning yellow rather than hand paint. It was a small piece of concrete about 20 feet long that would have taken less than a liter to complete. paints. It was pretty easy to load the paint, just prime and go, which was nice. When I started spraying I used the included 4-6" tip and it didn't cover what it should have been, maybe 4" and had a small amount of paint. I did about a 3 foot span and had to go through it 4-5 times to get good coverage. I decided to switch to the 12" nozzle to see if I would get better results, which I didn't. It still took several passes to get good coverage, and both nozzles left a solid, thin line of paint down the center of the spray pattern. That's how I may have installed the second tip, but in hindsight, the factory installed tip I started with did the same thing. There are only 2 tips to choose from on this unit and they are small plastic parts rather than the metal tips found on other Graco sprayers. Finally, after tweaking, applying a few coats, and cleaning, I could have finished this project in half the time with a brush or roller. In the end, after watching Graco's videos on how easy these are to use (and easy to set up and use) and how much time can be saved with a better finish than a brush or roller, I guess I just got it expected more. The item is back before the fence is unsullied.
