This puts out a lot more light than I expected. I want to use it for camping. It provides enough light to fill my bedroom so I know it will brighten up my RV. The Ikea Jansjo light isn't as bright, but it doesn't get as hot as this one. I mostly use IKEA. This gives a more focused pure white beam. It's more like a flashlight beam, giving you a smaller focus area with more light. Ikea has a warmer white color and is less focused. The Ikea lamp has a much wider beam and illuminates a larger area with less light. I like the Blovess lamp and found it useful. I just like Ikea Jansjo a little more.
