Review on Mattress Shipping Returns Compresses Leakproof by Jason Dinh

I can't believe how well this worked. UPDATE: It didn't work.

OPTIONAL UPDATE: After 2 months we have to re-vacuum the bag every few days and the mattress never shrinks as much as the first time. Right now, maintaining it is more of a hassle than it seems worth. We considered ordering another to try and vacuum/seal the bag twice in case we had a slow leak, but they no longer sell it in queen size, which is what we need. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend at all. UPDATE: Less than a week after we placed this vacuum-sealed mattress pancake in the storage compartment under our new king bed, it's back to full size. I thought we might have punctured the bag carrying it to the ward or something, but I could see that there was still some 'vacuum' around the mattress. Before opening the zipper, I tried again to suck off the vacuum valve. Within minutes the mattress was back to pancake size indicating there was no hole/damage in the pocket to allow air to pass. Again it was gradually expanded over the course of a week. So, yes, it does an amazing job of shrinking the mattress BUT it doesn't stay that way. He will need frequent grooming. My husband found this product and I was skeptical at first - it was a 13 inch deep mattress with springs - of course it didn't compress very much at all. Well, I'm sorry I didn't snap a photo for reference beforehand because the reduction is phenomenal. We were able to use our vacuum cleaner (Shark) and it took maybe 8 minutes to go from full size to a flat pancake. We didn't try to roll it up as we plan on storing it flat under the bed. I definitely need a vacuum with great suction but I highly recommend this product and wish I had known sooner!
